This October, we celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) and its 2025 theme, Celebrating Value and Talent. At The Kennedy Collective, we celebrate the value and talent of people with disabilities, embracing them as innovators, contributors, and leaders whose skills enrich our businesses, Social Enterprises, and communities. Their visible impact proves what is possible when opportunity meets ability.
Unemployment for people with disabilities remains far too high, 65% to 82% depending on where you live. This is not a gap of talent, but of opportunity. Work is the powerful engine of dignity, community strength, and independence for all people. For people with disabilities, it is especially vital because it opens doors to inclusion, contribution, and the chance to make a difference. We are working toward a future where people with disabilities contribute fully to the economic and social life of our communities.
The Kennedy Collective proves every day: when the business community and government become model employers and partner with us and Social Enterprises like ours, people with disabilities deliver visible impact, bottom line results, stronger communities, supported families, and purpose driven, fulfilled workforces.
Now we call on you to join us in this work. Partner with us, and together we can help businesses and government become model employers while unlocking the Power of People with Purpose.
With gratitude and joy,
